Discover Canine Sports June 28th @ 5pm
Calling all adventurers! Discover Canine Sports will offer handlers and their dogs opportunities to grow and bond as a team while discovering new canine sports and activities. Running, jumping, climbing, fetching, sniffing, and eating make this workshop one of the most enjoyable and enriching for dogs of all ages and backgrounds. Discover Canine Sports is open to anyone looking for an introduction to positive dog training and how it can build on off-leash control, spark mental stimulation, and promote physical activity.
Agility: You and your dog will work as a team in trying out a fun obstacle course. Handlers with dogs of any age, breed, or size can learn to compete in this amazing team sport! We will start with teaching you and your dog the foundations required for safe and healthy competition.
Nose Work: Learn all about the sport of canine scent detection and have a ton of fun training your dog! You will start by introducing your dog to odors and teaching them to “find” a scent. This fast- growing sport is perfect for any dog and is EXCELLENT for shy dogs or for dogs who need to build confidence.
Rally Obedience: Rally is a relaxed obedience sport in which dog/handler teams complete in a course of obedience maneuvers (such as sit, down, front, finish, and recall) at designated stations along the course. Teams proceed through the course at their own pace while using any verbal means of encouragement. It promotes fun and enjoyment for dogs at all levels!
This is an excellent chance to try out a variety of activities with your dog in one exciting workshop!
PREREQUISITES: Dogs must be at least 6 months old. Dogs must be able to be reinforced with treats and toys as they work on handler focus in a group setting. Dogs must have passed a basic manners class that was structured with positive reinforcement.

Greeting Strangers 6/17 at 3:30pm –
If you have a dog that loves people and loses their mind when they go to say hi, then this is the class for you. We will cover in this class how to practice calm greetings in the home as well as in public. We will teach skills and cues that will help you navigate excitable energy around greetings.
This class is not for reactive dogs, if you think your dog may be reactive, please email to do a pre-class evaluation before signing up for this class.
Leash Walking 6/22nd @ 6PM –
Do you have a dog that pulls on the end of the leash? Want to teach a more advanced leash walk? Maybe your pup works great in less distracting environments but not so great in high distracting environments. This is the class for you. We will go over the leash walking basics, the start of heel, and how to add distractions.
Come when Called 7/10 @ 7:15pm-
Do you have a dog that blows your recall? How about you call them, and they just stare at you? Just want to work on making the recall stronger? This class will be perfect for you. We will go over the foundation of recall. They have two types of recall, and how to teach them. As well as how to start being successful in distractions.

Retriever Training

This is the workshop for you! We will meet in the field behind the pallet company.
This workshop is for dogs that have done some retrieving work and are looking to brush up on their skills.
Please bring a leash, your long lines and a whistle if you have one.
